Last Saturday, I graduated with my Masters of Science in Strategic Communication from the TCU Bob Schieffer College of Communication. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for the incredible experiences I had during my time in the program!Working closely with Dr. Lindsay(Liang) Ma as her graduate teaching assistant for a year and a half was an invaluable experience. Her support and encouragement led me to participate in an international case study competition, which my group won!I am also thankful for my last semester working with Dr. Ashley E. English where I was able to pursue my passion for event planning by assisting her with the Nonprofit Communicators Conference.Additionally, my time working for the Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business’ External Communications team under Tiara Richard allowed me to utilize social media strategy, further honing my skills.Finally, I am immensely grateful for the friendships I've formed and the memories I've made with my classmates and graduating class. Aloukika Shrestha, María Belén Navarro, Mitchell Nimmer, Christopher Fritz, Connor Cash, Ben Doyka, Chelsea Verrette, & Charlie of course. I look forward to seeing the wonderful achievements you all will accomplish!

I am incredibly honored to share that I, along with three other students from TCU Bob Schieffer College of Communication, have been awarded the prestigious 2023 Jack Koten Page Principles Case Study Award.The competition, which was sponsored by the Page Society and the Institute for Public Relations, received 36 submissions from across four countries. Being chosen as the grand prize winner is a true honor that we are extremely proud of!Our winning submission, "Trouble in Paradise," analyzed how The Walt Disney Company responded to State Bill HB 1557 in Florida, which prohibited the discussion and instruction of sexual orientation or gender expression in classrooms. Our case study examined how businesses must take meaningful action to follow their stances on social issues.My teammates Ayesha Djibo, Mya Estrada, Kelly Weinstock, and I worked tirelessly over winter break on this case study, and we are immensely grateful for the guidance and mentorship of our faculty advisor, Dr. Lindsay(Liang) Ma.We look forward to attending the Page Spring Seminar in Brooklyn, NY next week, where we will be recognized for our achievement and have the opportunity to discuss our case study in more detail in an episode of Page's "The New CCO podcast."
