I got Noble Rom 3.4 / One UI 4.1 now and everything worked as planned. I would like to change the boot animation (Noble Boot Animation is currently active).
Does anyone know how I can change it? I already tried different methods like replacing the .qmg files inside system/media, putting a bootanimation.zip folder inside there or using odin to change them via edited .tar file.
Nothing so far seems to work. Hope anyone could help me out.

When you are flashing the rom, Aroma installer is asking you this question (type of boot animation). I don't know how to change it afterwards.

It asked me to choose between some animations and I chose the noble rom boot animation. My problem is that all current phones use bootanimation.zip but the galaxy s9 is still using .qmg. And .qmg won't stay changed but rather stay the same after a restart. I would really like to use my own custom boot animation.

Noble ROM 3.4, Noble kernel, BT patch. N9N. Media freezes when BT earphones connected. Is any solution?
Clean installation - twice. No result.

Hi, I'm using 3.3 but it seems that 3.4 doesn't fix the camera randomly crashing. So sad, since apparently only android 13 can use native linux KVMs (watch video M4GYxkzCobA&t=06m39s )...
I read that nobleROM v1.7 is the most stable, however, when going back to near page 140, people complain about games crashing at launch.
So my questions are :
- Is there ANY version out there with ZERO bug discovered ? Mainly I need rock solid camera, multi user, bluetooth, long battery cycle, DeX, and stock spen integration.
- What is the difference between nobleROM and alexisROM ?
- Is there a subreddit for this ROM/community by any chance ?
- Telegram needs a phone number, which I don't have, and online tutorials to bypass it simply recommend free disposable phone APPS, which uniquely identify us anyway. Telegram web client forces us to sign up through a mobile app, and using it via tor would requires a new signup/2FA authentication each time tor is relaunched.
- XDA itself uses cloudflare services, which basically block access via tor (or you need to refresh for like 8 hours long, to see ONE page out of the current 253 pages of this thread)
- (tor because I don't want whoever might watch me to know that I browse custom ROM forums)

That’s my last try to resolve the issue before going back to Alexis ROM because this is very annoying as I can’t make calls outside home. :/
EDIT : wrong thread.

No camera setting leads to a crash (from bug list it seems portrait mode on object with rear cam craches and no slowmo) ? Why is there a 2.B then please? Why are v1.7 's bugs not in the gogle doc bug list?
(This is where they said v1.7 was better than 2.X : https://xdaforums.com/t/noble-rom-3...n-sm-g96xf-fd-n.4253997/page-25#post-86649349 and then alexis confirmed that there is nothing more to be fixed in 1.7, is it still true?)

Hi. Even with brand new 3.4 clean install, I still have a mic issue with phone calls. Other people say that the mic volume is very low. The only way to be heard is to use a BT mic.

What is alexisROM ? What bugs does it have ? Why did you switch to noble if alexis was stable please?

I had 2.B 1.7 and 2.9, 1.7 was the best, that's true, until I installed 2.9 in which everything seems to work like stock, and I also had 2.B but I remember that something didn't suit me there

Thank you let us know if you remember what it was someday please
edit : can you do superslowmo ? Can you do portrait mode on objects with rear cam (= "boké effect" = blur everything else) ? it appears in bug list that 2.B cannot, so I wonder about 2.9...
edit2 : can you do DeX / output to TV, over HDMI cable ?

Anyone has a link for v2.9 please? OneDrive/UniBG needs credentials, mediafire file is down, mega nz file is down, google complains : "NOBLEROM2.9_N9_S9_S9P_NVARIANT.zip (2.8G) is too large for Google to scan for viruses. Would you still like to download this file?" and then "The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to drive.google.com. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

Ok so if I summarize, atm it's either 3.X = android 13 = camera crashing, or 2.X = android 12 = no HDMI output (and so no DeX).
What about 1.7 = android 11 ?
Or should I just go stock android 10 and debloat it manually myself ? Are there guides to do so please? I see scripts listing all the service to deactivate in adb but they don't really explain what service does what and will break which dependency...
Will going back to android10 still allow for call recording (both sides) ?

1.7 is android 11. 1.7 has the best battery life and most stable imo. 2.9B does support hdmi out you just have to flash the correct kernal.
