The yellow and chromium-covered Naboo N-1 Starfighteris the epitome of an extremely sleek and elegant starfighter.

In contrast, this heavily modified Mandalorian N-1 is a "badass" ship, having so many exposed details (engines, manifold, fuselage, protruded blaster cannons, and tail).

She sports her power, agility, andmaneuverability and perhaps she isthe fastest single-pilot starfigher in the entire galaxy.

Installation

=============================================
Install with Mod Organizer 2 (highly recommended) or Install with Plugin.txt Enabler(Make sure to follow the installation directions thoroughtly.)

While in game
=============================================
Visit any shipyard or use your own shipyard to bring up the parts. Neither perks nor any other conditions are necessary.
She is Class-A ship. You can build her even when you're level 2 and short on credit.

Before you build
=============================================
Due to the nature of ship building in this manner and lack of tools for making precise collision meshes, it is mandatory for you to put this line in your Starfieldcustom.ini

Build Manual
=============================================
Building time: average 15 minutes (min 10 min. ~ max 30 min.)

Follow the simple 15 easy steps.

Note: "M" stands for Mandalorian

1. Place N-1 "M" Hab (Hab) in your ship builder.

2. Place N-1 "M" co*ckpit (co*ckpit) on the fore side of the hab.

3. Place N-1 "M" bay (Bay) at the btm of the hab.

4. Place N-1 "M" Nano module mount (Struct) at the btm of the co*ckpit.

5. Place Nano-modules on the module mount - N-1 "M" Scan jammer, Reactor, Grav, Cargo, Shield, and Fuel tank. (Orders and positions don't matter)
They are really tiny, so magnify your screen to the max.

6. Place 1 N-1 "M" proton torpedo(Weapon)under the front endof the Nano module mount.
Place 1 N-1 "M" suppressor(Weapon) on the front end of the module mount.

7. Place N-1 "M" Lander (port) on the port side of the co*ckpit.
Click the lander (port) and press Ctrl+G to duplicate it and press Z to flip to get Stbd lander.
Then place the N-1 "M"Lander (Stbd)to the stbd side of the co*ckpit.

8. Place The Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter Fuselage (Struct) on top of the co*ckpit. (Adjust levels if necessary by pressing R or F a few times.)

Now, the engines. (There are a total of five.)

9. Place N-1 "M" Sublight Eng (Port) (Engine) on the port side of the fuselage.

10. Click the port Engine and Press Ctrl+G to duplicate and Press Z to flip it. N-1 "M" Sublight Eng (Stbd) will appear. Then, place it on the stbd side of the fuselage.

11. Place N-1 "M" Sublight Eng (Aft) (Engine) on the Btm Aftof the fuselage.

12. Place N-1 "M" Sublight Eng (Manifold) (Engine) on topfore of the fuselage

13. Place N-1 Cryogenic density combustion booster (Engine) on the Stbd Aft side of the fuselage.

14.Place N-1 "M" Laser cannon (port)(Weapon) on the fore topportof the fuselage. Click the laser (port) and press Ctrl+G to duplicate it and press Z to flip (very important!!) to get Laser cannon (stbd). It is so tiny you cannot see it very well. Pls make sure the name shows "Stbd." Then place the Stbd laser to the fore top stbd side of the fuselage.

15. Finally, place N-1 "M" Docker (Docker) on the very top of the fuselage.

Congratulations. You've built the fastest badass single-pilot ship in the galaxy. Enjoy sailing her!

User manual
=============================================
This ship is designed and meant to be unconventional by nature. So there are a few things to keep in mind.

There is no bay interior.
- To activate the ship, simply look at the canopy and a message box will appear in 0.5 sec. The canopy animates now and serves as a bay ladder to get indoor.I recommend you to choose "co*ckpit" option preferably when boarding the new N-1 because it's smooth and direct that way. If you choose "board" option, you will sometimes find youself standing "through" the canopy, which sort of breaks the immersion. At any rate, I did my best to meticulously adjust the the position of boarding by millimeters to prevent this, but it can still occur. In that case, just activate the pilot seat to sit and fly away.

There is (practically) no interior.
- Once you "get up" during flight in space or when landed, you can move around a little (4-5 steps). You can move 7-10 steps when entering the ship from docked ships or shipyards in space. Then you can activate the ship cargo hold, navigation console, captain's locker and of course a pilot seat to begin piloting the ship. But that's pretty much it. And..I am sorry, there is no bathroom. ;-)

There are no (visible) landing gears.
- Just as seen in the movie.

There are no room for your companions. (This is important!)
- This is obvious - the N-1 is a single-pilot ship. No other humans but you are allowed in the vessel, which means you have to dismiss your companions beforehand including Vasco. This is a must! Otherwise, you will see them fall into the weirdest trap due to the absence of collision or too much collision (stuttering violently) They will act weird like going up and down infinitely. Do make sure to dismiss them. If it not possible to dismiss, say, Sarah, proceed with your main questline and at some point, you will be able to dismiss them.

This mod replaces the following vanilla assets:

1. Interior bay exit floor hatch door

before: with ladder
after: without ladder
pro: clean, unobtrusive and uncumbersome
con: nothing to hold on to when exiting the ship ;)

2. Interior docker ceiling hatch door

before: with ladder
after: without ladder and red enclosure
pro: clean, unobtrusive and uncumbersome
con: nothing to hold on to when exiting the ship and could be hard to find where the docking hatch is

3. ship weapon sounds (I recorded the sound FXs directly from the movie)

N-1 Laser cannon sounds replace C-class Light Scythe Laser sounds

N-1 Proton torpedo sounds replace C-calss Ballistics Missile sounds

Notes for modders

This is my fifth starship build after X-wing, Millenium Falcon and Nubian Royal Starship, and Naboo N-1. As you can see, the ship's size is getting smaller and smaller. It was extremely challenging to make a single-pilot starfighter this time around because the game was never designed to allow this kind of build. (But what is a mod for? ;-) )

1. co*ckpit problem

The biggest conundrum was making the co*ckpit functional. With the hull size of the ship extremely small, the walkability within the co*ckpit is sacrified. There is simply no room not even to get up straight. you CAN get up but the collision of pilot seat itself and bubble canopy will make you wobble and behave weirdly. I attempted to remove the collision of pilot seat, but I got CTD. So, expect the collision within the co*ckpit can be problematic.

2. No hab interior

There is simply no room to have even the interior of Starfield's smallest 1x1 hab.
This means you have to have a way to bypass the problem of accessing the bay and the docker. Plus, vanilla bays have interior as well as exterior. A co*ckpit must be attached to a hab. This is an unalterable rule.

3. Module size

Every ship module had to be made "Nano." Even if you somehow packed all modules inside the tiny hull, you have to deal with the issue of ironing out the discrepancy between interior and exterior design and functionality as the game switches between those two all the time. For instance, once you board a ship, all interior items will appear, clipping out of the tiny hull very ugly all over.
I pulled my hair out and figured out how to make it all work without using a single external mod or exploitation or glitches. I painstakingly and discreetly removed all unnecessary interior items and thereby turning almost everything invisible. So they are all there, but not there just like Andy Dufresne in the Shawshank redemption. This is an audacious attempt to produce a new type of ship.

4. Bay height and lander alignment issue

This is the pain in the neck. First, the ship's height had to be adjusted in order to be screen accurate. This means I had to go through the pain of aligning the level of bay and landers...again!! It's a nightmare. I pulled my hair again (I am almost bald now... xD) and I finally made it lower and made the new N-1 sit low.

I wouldn't say she is perfect. She still has many flaws. But I did what I could best.

Now we can hopefully have Jedi starfighter and other single-pilot starfighters made in Starfield.

How I did this:
1. Create a model or download a copyright free quality 3D model from Internet
2. Import it in Blender and separate the model into various parts (use bisect or separate by selection in edit mode)
3. Export each part using Blender plugin by Sesamepaste Readthis article.
4. Open models in Nifskope and modify translation, rotation, and scale if necessary. Give an appropriate material to each geometry. Create proper collision meshes.
5. Use xEdit by ElminsterAU to register nif files and adjust them to be properly shown in ship builder in game. Readthis article.
6. Assemble and enjoy the unique and slick form and function of your favorite ship!
It's challenging but at the same time rewarding and satisfying to reinvent the look and feel of our favorite ships in Starfield.

This is an extremely experimental mod. Make a backup copy of your save file in someplace safe. Weird things can happen including: Collision is BAD, your character can fall in a collision trap and cannot escape. Then use tcl console command or load a previous save. I did all in my power to prevent this, but it can happen. My save file is intact so far and I have no problem using this mod, but as you know, your computer is different and ANYTHING can happen in Starfield. ;-)
