Dark, cold, and numb...
Where are you? You don't know. You can't even lift up a finger. It feels like you're back to the place you were when you came out of Douma's stomach. It feels cold, and lonely. You tried to open your eyes, but they weren't responding. You tried to move your feet, but they weren't obeying. Moreover it felt like you were floating in the middle of nowhere. In the middle of a vacuum.
Not until you sensed a movement behind you that you were able to peep out of your eyelids. And there you saw a blurry ball of purple light hovering towards you. You were curious, but at the same time confused. There was nothing but black around you, like you were in space but there were no stars nor planets at all.
The ball of purple light grew larger, and larger... moving closer and closer, until you peer through your vision to see no other than Shinobu herself. Lightening as if she was an angel. Once Shinobu's face was clear, and she was before you, your eyes sparkled in happiness, and you smiled. "You always know when to encourage me, huh?"
Shinobu didn't smile. She frowned instead. "Wake up." she said, "wake up, Butterfly."
You pursed your lips, and furrowed your brows. "I still can't feel my hands."
"Wake up." Shinobu said, her voice intensify, "wake up!"
Her voice echoed in the dark, followed by more voices of other people's. Calling you out, and telling you to wake up. They were very loud, but at the same time encouraging. Now, Shinobu just kept on saying, "wake up! Wake up!" nonstop. Soon, the voices behind her began to grow stronger, louder, and crazier. You glanced around aghast as you began to feel your fingers, and your toes.
"Wake up!"
"Miss Butterfly!"
"Yo demon, wake the f*ck up!"
Now, you could feel your entire body from head to toe, but you still see darkness. Your heart beat faster and faster, as you now could feel a powerful wind gliding through your hair. "How?!" You whined, "how do I wake up?!"
"Wake up!"
"HEEEYY!"
"Come on, Butterfly! Open your eyes!"
"How?!" You exclaimed, wanting answers, "how do I do that?! —"
"— SISTER!"
A familiar voice finally hits you. A voice which you'll never forget, and how can you possibly forget? It was Kanao's voice. Glancing around, your heart tensed as you tried to see your adoptive sister through the dark. "K-Kanao?!" You exclaimed, "Kanao, is that you?! Where are you?!"
"Wake up!" Said Kanao with a worried tone, "move your wings! Wake up!"
"Kanao?!"
"Wake up! Or you'll hit the ground!! Kanaaaeee!!!"
You gasped aloud and shot your eyes open. Now, you could see the night sky, and you could feel the wind harshly drifting against your body. Beneath you was a bunch of humans, shouting. They were responsible for the loud voices you hear in the dark, along with Kanao, who was right above you, reaching her hand out.
"Kanao!" You screamed, and immediately spread your wings to stop yourself from falling any further. Smoothly, you flew towards Kanao, then carefully wrapped your arms around her waist to avoid any of her bones breaking, or any sudden impact.
The crowd saw you rescued Kanao, and they cheered hysterically.
"YEAH!" A boy shouted.
"Awesooome!!" Shouted another one.
With elegance, you carried Kanao in your arms like a princess as you landed safely on the ground, on your toes. Kanao stared at you with her eyes shaping like donuts as the other Pillars quickly rushed towards the both of you.
"Kanao-chan! Kanao-chan!" Kanroji called, waving her hands up like a 7-year-old.
Once the group reached, they gathered around you, but not with panic, or any attempts to attack. Instead, they treated you as an ally. You gently put Kanao down, but the girl didn't move. She just froze in place as her tattoos began to fade, turning into a reddish-pink blemish before it cleared away into nothing. Even her sword turned back into its original color.
After a quick reunion, the Pillars and the other ranked Demon Slayers stared at you. You contemplated on each an every one of them, before you saw Tanjirou being piggybacked by Nezuko. Your heart eased, but your guard didn't. The scene was conquered by awkward silence, until Kanao spoke. "Is it really you?" She asked, "sister... Kanae...?"
It took you several seconds before you could force out a sad, weak smile, and answered....
"I'm home."
